Every art print available from East End Prints has been created by a real artist with authentic methods, skill, and craft. We stand firmly against sellers who profit from A.I.-generated copies of original work under invented artist names.

Our business is powered by a dedicated team who are passionate about championing independent artists. Over the last 16 years we've developed a community of 200 artists and a catalogue of over 3000 fine art quality prints.

Our use of AI tools is strictly limited to admin and operations. Artists' work is entirely their own. We embrace our team’s use of A.I. internally behind the scenes to streamline repetitive tasks, improve workflow efficiency and free up time to focus more energy on working for our artists and our customers.

We will only use AI in ways that protect trust, creativity and artistic integrity. We do not support the use of generative A.I. to replace the originality, talent, or rights of artists.

Examples of practices that go against our A.I. policy:

  • Selling designs which have been created by a generative A.I. tool based on prompts which deliberately generate images directly in the style of original work by a real artist.
  • Selling designs which have been created by a generative A.I. tool based on prompts relating to current artistic or cultural trends without any consideration given to original work by real artists which may already exist.
  • Listing A.I.-generated designs for sale online under fake or invented artist names in a way which attempts to make things seem authentic while covering up that they are not genuine.
  • Offering generative A.I. tools on a website whereby customers can enter their own prompts and generate an image which can then be ordered and purchased as a print from that website.

These practices enable sellers to increase their personal income and profit while not giving any acknowledgement, credit, or royalties to any artists whose work could have been used or copied without their consent.

As A.I. technologies advance and evolve at lightning speeds over the years ahead, we commit to reviewing this statement regularly to ensure it accurately reflects our current company position.
