Stay At Home Love
Posted by East End Prints on 8th Apr 2020
There is more sunshine about and the evenings are getting lighter and longer! Weekends in the run up to summer are the time we would normally take a good look at the state of the house.
We are in strange times and while our social plans might be curtailed, our creativity is still free to run wild.
This weekend we want to get those juices flowing and boost ideas for little tweaks and simple changes that can make a huge difference to a room and most importantly how it make you feel. Our number one piece of advice is take stock and exercise gratitude for anything that you able to
As we are all becoming ever the more intimately familiar with our interiors it can be tricky to think of the most effective ways to brighten things up.
Changes as little as framing a print or simply swapping the prints your already have around in your rooms around can put a new perspective on them.
Our artists are among a creative community that never stop giving and need our support more than ever. With this weekend's 10% discount on all our digital prints, supporting artists and bringing a little bit of fresh joy to your working space is that little bit easier.
Hanging Tips:
Our frames come ready to hang so absolutely no faffing about with wall fixings for you! All you need is either a dry wall screw or nail, a screwdriver or hammer and you're away. If you can't (or don't want to) make holes in your walls, leaning large prints agains a wall or resting them on a dresser or mantle pieces is a great way to get art prints in the mix. We love doing this because you can easily move things around later when you need a refresh or want to shake things up.
When putting together a gallery wall think about colour, size and placement. When we hang a new look in the shop we like hanging our prints at different heights to and leaving a range of gap sizes between them. We recommend playing around with this and judging by eye and what you like. There is no right or wrong, just go with what looks good to you.
