Alisa Galitsyna is a Ukrainian self-taught artist living in Spain. She finds inspiration from nature, day-to-day life, travelling, textiles, and interior spaces. Using a combination of different techniques and themes, she creates abstract artwork, patterns and collages in a variety of textures and colour combinations.
Artwork description: This vertical design is a study in geometric abstraction and layered textures. The composition features several rectangular blocks in varying shades of charcoal, slate grey, and pale ivory. The forms are layered with a visible, distressed grain that suggests a linocut or hand-pressed ink technique. Fine, horizontal and vertical etched lines intersect the solid shapes, adding a delicate, rhythmic detail to the overall structural arrangement.
