Alice's work is steeped in nostalgia and often heroises her favourite childhood dishes such as chocolate eclairs or ice cream, with the intention of elevating the everyday. Her colour palette is rooted in colour theory and regularly features contrasting colours to enhance her subjects. Alice draws inspiration from her family's love of cooking - her twin brother, Thomas Straker, is a chef, and her degree in Art History.
