Merel Takken is the artist behind Interiorisla. She was born in the Netherlands and now lives in sunny Mallorca. Merel's art captures the essence of coastal living and translates it into contemporary prints that bring color, warmth, and a touch of paradise to interior spaces.
Artwork description: Set against a multi-coloured geometric grid background in shades of dusty rose, slate blue, ochre, and pale grey, several large, abstract floral shapes are layered throughout the composition. The flowers are rendered in deep terracotta and dark umber with sharp, leaf-like petals. Vertical yellow bands bisect the frame, adding a structured element to the fluid, painterly forms. The piece is framed by a white border and the artist's subtle signature in the bottom right corner.
