Tell us a bit about yourself, who are you and what do you do?
Hello, I’m Charlie! I’m the owner/ designer/ one woman show behind Illustrated By Charlie.
From sketching out ideas, to seeing the final products come to life, so much care and attention has gone in to each and every design, so I hope you and your customers love them as much as much as I do!
What inspires you and your artwork?
I'm inspired by lots of things, music, pop culture, feminism, friendship, the list is endless!
Your artwork has a very motivational message to it, do you find that your morals play a big part in your artwork? (As in wanting to make people happy)
Yes absolutely, I always try to practice what I preach, but sometimes it does get hard to take my own advice and go a little easier on myself! I love when someone tells me my work has cheered them up or made them happy in some way, it's the best compliment ever.
Your work is full of colour and fun, what is your favourite colour combo?
What is your favourite piece of artwork you’ve made?
Definitely my 'Do What Makes You Happy' print, I had so much fun creating that one!
Being the strong woman that you are, you run your business around your full time job, how do you manage to keep your love for art alive?
It gets hard sometimes I must admit! Burn out is REAL so I think the key is to give yourself a break when you need it, it's been hard for me to learn that rest is also productive, but I never create my best work when I'm forcing it, so I just try to relax and have fun with it!
How would you describe your style?
Retro, Bold, Bright and Fun (If I do say so myself!)

I do indeed, keep your eyes peeled for a new phone case collection coming in September!
