INTRODUCING: MALISSA BROWN

 

Malissa Brown is  textile designer living and working in East London.She has been working in textiles for

over twelve years, designing contemporary womenswear prints, selling to retailers, leading fashion houses

and interior brands in the UK and Worldwide. Her new work concentrates on print for the home, creating

limited edition screen prints on paper. 

   

"Printing this way, as opposed to digitally, allows me to play with layering colour and also adds a beautiful print

quality you can only get with a screen" -Malissa Brown

She gets particularly inspired by geometric patterns seen in architectural structures and the manmade, liking to 

mix this with the fluidity of mark making inspired by natural textures. 

Although she is not moving away entirely from textiles, she is enjoying exploring print methods that allow her to 

produce different ways of creating print and pattern.
