East End Prints

We would of course always suggest EAST END PRINTS for all your wall art and framed prints – guess you want to know why?

We pride ourselves on our paper stock which is made in the UK and our Giclée printing process which uses archival inks that are guaranteed to last over 70 years. Our frames are made with obeche solid wood in 3 stains; natural, black and white and come in multiple sizes. We use thicker acrylic to protect the print (not glass-but optically the same as glass) and we go big – up to A1 in size.

Our artists get a royalty return after every print that is sold. As part of our company values, we have a pledge ‘Buy a Print/Plant a Tree’ where a percentage of our profits go to combat deforestation with the charity Cool Earth.

Our specially made cardboard packaging has had rigorous testing to ensure the product reaches you in perfect condition no matter where you are in the world. Our USP is also to deliver our huge Limited Edition collection alongside the Giclée prints which can also be framed. We now have over 6000 print designs online. Our main bestselling designs are fun, contemporary, graphic, colourful and bold - definitely not just something that sits over the sofa to be forgotten about!

We do one thing – framed art prints, and we do it well. We have recently taken on new clients such as made.com and John Lewis, where we offer exclusive ranges to be shipped directly to their customers. Our products are handmade in the UK. Our pledge is ‘Buy a print, plant a tree’ and we offer free UK shipping over £75.

Price point – Medium, our product is great value for the quality.

Etsy

Buy directly from thousands of artists. A of the prints are sold unframed and come in smaller sizes. We would recommend always checking the product reviews to check the frame and print quality. It's easy to drown in choice here. There is a huge amount to wade through, we feel that the art prints category could do with a hard edit! Artists are worldwide.

Price point – Varies widely, we would say it's affordable but check the quality and reviews first!

King and McGaw

Specialists in their relationship with the Tate and big galleries who offer the very best in museum collections. Their art print and frame styles range is huge. The frames have beautiful mouldings and are definitely worth the investment as they are handmade in the UK. Long term, these really are superior frames. Definitely a more mature collection, very tasteful and for the more refined and sophisticated customer. They have been in the industry since I was wearing nappies and it shows in their excellence.

Price point – Generally high, but frames and prints that last the test of time.

Poster Lounge

These guys have a large collection of out of copyright museum collections as well as contemporary looks. They have quite a mix of styles and artworks ‘in any style’ as they say. Poster Lounge also sells canvas prints and calendars. Their customer journey is actually well thought out and I like the user experience, but even I felt a little overwhelmed by the choice of material. Aluminium print? Canvas? Wall Sticker? Anything goes here, on any medium. Spoilt for choice or option paralysis?

Price point – Medium
