Need a Frame? Find the perfect (and sustainable) moulding for your art
23rd Jan 2023
Got some artwork lying around that needs some love? A lot of our customers ask - where do we get our frames from?
They are good quality wood and thick acrylic –something that the high street doesn’t offer much of. The framing business is pretty much run by three major worldwide moulding manufacturers who sell to everybody in the industry.
Our wood is from sustainable forests in Africa (yep we checked up on this!) and it comes to the UK via Italy. To make the moulding, we cut the wood down to length and make the frame.
Are you sitting on some rolled up prints?
Would you like to get them out the tube and onto your walls? You can buy off the shelf sizes from here. These come in a range of popular A sizes - A3, A2 and A1.
Oak, white and black frame mouldings. Available here.
How do I frame my art?
- The frames will be shipped to you to frame yourself, just use a flat knife (like a palette knife)to flip open the back flexi points and remove the backing board.
- Give the acrylic inside a quick look for any dust particles or hairs (blow towards them that should easily remove them)
- Then insert the art or poster in the back, replace the backing board and you are ready to go!
