It’s that time again! This Saturday Celebrate East London Summer time with a collective of groovy stalls and some independent businesses from the East End, such as Dalston Cola and the East London Liquor Company. This fantastic free event sends all of its proceeds to the local Night Shelter and Food Bank. There will also be some fantastic activities for kids such as the Hackney Play Bus and an amazing Secret Garden hosted by Hackney Children's Theatre.

The final show of Camberwell’s illustration graduates is jam packed with graphic talent! They funded their off site show through Kick Starter and now they are really showing you what they’re made of. This amazing group of students present an awesome show including a diverse range of styles and approaches to illustration.

3.Join Hands to Save Norton Folgate.
We have already featured this noble cause on our site this week, but if you can make it there you can help make a difference. The Spitalfields Trust and The Gentle Author (of Spitalfields Life) are campaigning to put an end to British Land’s proposal to demolish an area full of so much character and history. The Gentle Author is also offering free copies of his book, The Gentle Author’s London Album a book choc full of breath taking images of East London, to the first 500 people that turn up.

Launched in 1932 to promote artists the London Open always has a great selection of upcoming artist. The open submission show at the Whitechapel Gallery always promises to exhibit the most dynamic artists living and working in London today. So head down and see if you can find the next Dali, Lichtenstein or David Hockney.

5.Live Blues at The Proud Archivist
Unwind on a Sunday evening with some blues each Sunday afternoon from 6-9pm with The Fisherkings at The Proud Archivist, sitting on the edge of the canal by Haggerston you can watch the boats pass by, see the ducks paddling and enjoy some great food and drinks from The Proud Archivists superb menu.
