Saving A Sled-Load: Christmas Gifts On a Budget

Posted by East End Prints on 30th Nov 2022

As the Christmas season creeps up on us, many people are starting to think about gifts and what that can mean for budgeting and perhaps, more importantly, saving. The good news is that a great present doesn’t need to cost the Earth, you just need to know where to look. Explore our under £15 range here.

There are plenty of great gifting options for those on a budget. If anything, budgeting can make us lean into more thoughtful or personal gifts because we’re buying less and making sure it’s special to the recipient. We can lean into hobbies and interests to help find that perfect gift for a loved one and really make it a special and treasured present.

One option might be to look at handmade or pre-loved gifts - one man’s trash is another man’s treasure after all!

If you can give yourself plenty of time, there are options for sourcing those bargains for loved ones through one of the many well-known marketplace sites or even local independent shops.

But what can you do if you need something new and personal and you haven’t got time to sift through all of these pre-loved options? Luckily, we’ve got a few ideas for great, personal Christmas gifts for those on a budget.

Start Shopping Early and Save

One of the easiest ways to save on gifts is to start buying early. Throughout the year you can take advantage of sales and offers and spread the cost across a few months to make gift-giving more affordable. It’s thought that most people are in the gift-giving mood from September to December but some shop year-round to try and get hold of those bargain buys that will be sure to leave smiles on faces when it comes to opening up the presents!

It might also be an option to buy in bulk for different people to try and save on shipping costs, or even get free shipping when you spend over a certain amount.

Let's be real, our purses are feeling a little tight at the moment. Luckily for you, we have curated a beautiful selection of Limited Edition prints that are perfect for gifting on a budget. Our new Riso Zodiac range by Jaqueline Colley is bursting with colour. Pop one of these puppies into their stocking for only £7.50. Explore our under £15 range here.

Choose Personal Gifts Over Pricey Presents

When Christmas shopping (or shopping for gifts in general,) it can be easy to panic buy something pricey when you’ve run out of ideas. If you can give yourself a bit of time to prepare, you can buy something really personal for someone that will last for a long time and not break the bank.

A great personal gift can be an art print that appeals to the hobbies and interests of the person. These could be music or film-based, or even art of a specific place that holds sentimental links for the person you are buying for.

The great thing about gifts for the home is that they last for a long time and they become treasured memories for those giving and receiving them.

Here are 3 favourites that fit into the personal gift category!

  2. “Paris Map” by Alex Foster
