Description

The perfect gift for a music lover by Dorothy.

A history of hip-hop mapped out to the circuit diagram of a classic turntable.

Our Hip-Hop Love Blueprint celebrates over 700 MCs, DJs, producers, turntablists, musicians, graffiti artists, b-boys and b-girls who (in our opinion) have been pivotal to the evolution of hip-hop, from pioneers such as DJ Kool Herc and Grandmaster Flash to present day chart success stories Kendrick Lamar and Drake, and global superstars Jay-Z and Kanye West. The print pays homage to the godfathers of hip-hop (Gil Scott-Heron, The Last Poets) but takes its starting point as DJ Kool Herc’s Back to School Jam in August 1973 - a block party in the Bronx, New York which is widely regarded as the birthplace of hip-hop.

-Metallic gold screen print

-135gsm Colorplan Colbalt uncoated paper

-H60 x W80cm

This print comes unframed. Please come to our Brick Lane shop for framing options.

Why Choose East End Prints?

We produce beautiful high-quality art prints using a giclée printing process, on premium 210gsm acid-free archival paper to ensure fine art quality and longevity from fading. All our paper and wood is from FSC accredited sources.

Our prints are made to order in the UK and shipped to customers worldwide. We love the made to order process as it significantly reduces waste.

The glaze used in our wood frames is optically the same as glass, but is more lightweight for easier handling and greater safety. The hanging system on the back of our frames allows you to hang your art with a single screw.

We're extremely proud to be a female-led company that works with a community of over 200 artists and is rated 'Excellent' on Trustpilot.

Please note we use product images on our website which are optimised to load quickly while you browse and are therefore lower resolution in appearance than the beautifully detailed giclée print that's delivered to you.

All 'Special Edition' prints are printed by our artists. These are identifiable from the description on their product page.
