Johanna Von Holst
Johanna von Holst was raised between Berlin and Mallorca, where she discovered the poetic play of colours. Blood-red sunsets, turquoise waves, and frequent moves tell stories of homesickness and wanderlust. After studying art in New York City, she founded her studio and has since captured famous personalities in her distinctive style. She photographs for magazines like i-D, exhibits her art at events such as Berlin Photo Week, Miami Art Basel, and Cluster Fair in London, and is currently working on her first photo book, Mama Palma. This work is an homage to her greatest inspiration: the unknown under the blood-red sun. It's also a love letter to the palm tree, which embodies the insatiable wanderlust of Generation Z, a generation seeking a sense of home in colourful, surreal images online.
