East End Prints range manager and collection curator, Sophia Ward, talks us through her top five picks from the January '25 prints collection.
Cacio Pepe by Nia Beynon
I love the simplicity of Nia Beynon’s design work, which just perfectly captures the charm of this simple Italian pasta dish, ‘Cacio E Pepe’. The contrast between the olive-green shade of the bowl filled with pasta, the deep plum, and bright royal blue colours are so fresh and fun but still have a minimalist feel. I adore Nia’s hand-drawn style and the way her lettering seems to effortlessly flow around the page.
I met Nia last summer; she’s a London-based artist originally from Wales. She has a deep appreciation for how food brings people together, and her collection reflects that beautifully. If I could, I’d have every piece in my home — it’s the perfect blend of cosy and chic and a great gift for all cooking lovers out there too.
Good Things by Exquisite Paradox
This adorable bear design by Exquisite Paradox gives 70’s retro mixed with classic children’s book charm and a modern twist. I’ve completely fallen in love with the soft colour palette and cute vibe. It’s the perfect motivational piece to brighten up your bedroom and get you ready for the day. Her entire collection is whimsical and fills me with such a nostalgic feeling.
Exquisite Paradox is a fresh talent based in the US, and she spreads so much joy through her Instagram with daily motivational designs. We simply can’t get enough. They never fail to make us smile!
What I love most is how you can hang these equally in a nursery but also in your own bedroom, cute animals are not just for kids! Playful decor is here to stay and can be appreciated by all ages - let’s bring some positive vibes in to people's homes this year.
Gondola Ski Mountain by Coit Creative
This design gives such a cool, crisp, and fresh feel. Coit Creative has perfectly captured that serene moment—the first skier carving tracks on a freshly laid slope. It’s a must-have for skiing enthusiasts! I love how it has a sense of movement and sporty energy while staying so simple and minimalist. It’s not overdone — it’s just gorgeous, calm, and would look amazing in an office or bedroom.
The other reason I love this collection is that you can easily pair a couple together or create a gallery wall because all the colours fit well together. Check out the rest of the skiing series by Coit Creative if you or your loved one loves the slopes!
Abstract Monochrome Vase Diptych by Stephie Cardona
I am loving this set featuring these two black and white vase designs by Stephie Cardona. They’ve got such a Matisse-like vibe to them, simple yet bold. The minimalist design makes a statement without being over-the-top, and I love how the black and off-white play off each other so perfectly. It’s just the right mix of sleek and striking, and they look amazing paired together in any room, but especially over the sofa or in your dining room!
Stephie is an independent artist who I first met early 2024, she usually designs gorgeous simplistic food posters which have been super popular with everyone, but I wanted to try something new for her in 2025, can’t wait to see what you think this classic modern pair!
Love Boots by Parrott Paints
I just had to pick this one — it’s got cowboy boots, which I’m obsessed with, and paired with these cute red flowers, it’s perfect for spring! I also adore the name, ‘Love Boots’ — it totally gives off those Valentine’s vibes. Just adorable. It’s retro, but classic, and fun - the perfect combo for me!
Parrot Paints is a new independent artist based in the USA, who I met about a year ago now on zoom. I first fell in love with her work on Instagram, her page is filled with inspiring and uplifting creations to make you feel good. I thought her work would be the perfect way to kick off the new year with a bit of positivity. She uses a minimal colour palette and has a real love for florals, which makes her work feel fresh and uplifting.
